Saturday October 8th 2011 from 4PM to 12PM at Dario Ghibaudo’s atelier in Milan, on the occasion of his twenty-first birthday and of the seventh Giornata del Contemporaneo promoted from AMACI (Association Italian Museums of Contemporary Art, Museum Teo presents 20+10=30 The Museum of the Museums, thirty issue of Museo Teo artfanzine  (48 pages and a silkscreen cover, Art director Daniela Moretto; texts in Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Greek, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Jewish and Arab).

Museo Teo artfanzine # 30 is the catalogue of the exhibition The Museum of Museums organized to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Museo Teo, presented one year ago in the premises of the LAMBRETTO ART PROJECT, the former Lambretta factory refurbished by the architect Mariano Pichler in the former industrial district of Lambrate that is now one of the poles of contemporary art in Milan.
The exhibition – which thus also provided an opportunity to reflect on the use of space and spaces (both physical and mental) – was intended to place focus on the characteristics of the work the Museo Te carries out at community level and in contemporary art circles. The challenge consisted in organizing a party together with fellow travellers past and present: in other words, with the associations, artists and curators whose paths have, for the last twenty years – and even longer in some cases – been periodically converging with or crossing that followed by the Museo Teo.
The common topic for all participants was that of independently operating in the art system, also on the verge of it sometimes, without, however, avoiding contact and collaboration with institutions.
The ten associations and museums that participated in the event exhibited autonomous projects: ART MOBIL, CAREOF; COLLEZIONE NAHMIAS-TREU; DOKNITYOURSELF; FIGURE BLU; LICEO ARTISTICO DI BRERA; MUSEO DI STORIA INNATURALE;  MUSEO MICROCOLLECTION; NUOVA ICONA;  PIGRECA.

«Museo Teo gathers the collective work of many artists as a huge permanently evolving artwork, which includes in itself a thought about the state of art and in the meanwhile is a playful place for fun and irony. A museum with no permanent establishment and no works, which  stages events - usually one-day long – in unusual and always different locations or on the edge of the traditional circuits, in order to bring art back to a really democratic and daily dimension».
Several themes are recurring because they are the nodes from which our courses of action unravel, which have been redefined in the latest years: reclaiming the territory, education to image, art and the respect  for the artistic heritage as shared values, and mostly the need to create a network of creative relations in order to develop sociality and the production of sense and beauty as well.
Twenty years ago we moved from Perec’s concept in La vie mode d’emploi, by which even nothingness can have its identity, if it holds traces of its own history («Maintenant, dans le petit salon, il reste ce qui reste quand il ne reste rien»); we went across places and non-places, we explored both traditional and hyper-modern Japan and we hoisted the flag of peace on the Atomic Bomb Dome in Hiroshima; we tried to dig into the world’s totality with a different look onto the threshold between the daily and the unknown, beyond which everything is possible, using Stephen Hawking’s statement as a metaphoric flag: «There is a universe where the moon is made of cheese and where Elvis is alive. Ours is only one of the possible kinds of universe».

Saturday October 8th 2011 at Dario Ghibaudo’s atelier, besides MT 20+10=30 will also find the video MACBA_skate and MACBA_people by Giovanni Bai, FURIO by Dario Ghibaudo and Mario Cavatore, LIQUID MUSAE by Sergio Racanati, PAOLO CONSOLANDI TRIBUTE by Mario Tedeschi, an installation by Valeria Agostinelli, a glass of wine and some delicacy.
